Cypress Bark & Mulch Pty Ltd was started in 2000 by landscape product manufacturer, Geoff Harridge. Geoff saw the opportunity to reduce the burning of timber waste in the Cypress industry by converting the waste into usable bark and mulch. With research, product development, and significant risk and investment, Geoff finally developed his first Cypress product: our iconic Cypress Genuine Red Mulch. To get the industry to look for and accept an innovative product, Geoff needed to catch a big break. In 2000, Palazzo Versace was that big break. The first 6-Star hotel in Australia specified our Cypress Genuine Red Mulch. Cypress Bark & Mulch was now an alternative landscape solution for the astute architects, landscapers, and landscape yards. To this day, Cypress Mulch is a family-owned and operated business. Geoff remains as the Managing Director, and his sons, David and Lachlan, work alongside him.
